Allsorts Dance is an adult dance performance group that is linked with the Adults Ballet Class held at The Rec. Whilst the group has been in existence since December 2006. Allsorts did not officially form until August 2009, when Chair, Secretary and Treasurer were appointed.
It is anticipated that Allsorts Dance will officially launch as a Performance Group during 2010.
The purpose of Allsorts Dance is:-
- To provide people who like to dance with an opportunity to perform
- To provide people with the opportunity to learn classical repertoire
- Take dance performance out into the local community
- Show that dance is accessible to all
Allsorts Dance is an adult dance group so Allsorts is therefore open to people over 18 years.
All members need to have a desire to dance and have reached an acceptable standard and entry is by invitation only.
Members are expected to attend a weekly ballet class, as well as a weekly rehearsal.
